Ryhmä opiskelijoita ja opettajia Balttian ja Pohjoismaista kokoontui maaliskuussa Islannissa työpajan merkeissä. Jokainen toi mukanaan yhden valokuvan omista kokoelmistaan. Nämä olivat valokuvia paikoista, joihin liittyi henkilökohtainen muisto. Ryhmä jakoi nämä muistot ja tarinat toistensa kanssa, ja kurotti menneisyyteen ymmärtääkseen nykypäivää.
Muistoista on kehittynyt teoksia, joissa työpajaan osallistujat pohtivat kulttuuria osana kestävää kehitystä. Tähän kestävän kehityksen osa-alueeseen kuuluvat kulttuuriperintö, arvot ja ne muistot, joita pidämme tärkeinä ja haluamme siirtää eteenpäin tuleville sukupolville. Ympäristö ja paikat ovat myös erottamaton osa kulttuuria, sillä ympäristö muuttuu ja me muutamme sitä jatkuvasti.
Vilpittömästi minun -näyttely on osa kansainvälistä Cultural Sustainability and Photography Workshop -projektia. Projekti toteutui Reykjavikissa Islannissa ja Rovaniemellä maalis-toukokuussa.

A group of students and teachers from the Nordic and Baltic countries got together in Iceland, bringing one photograph from their private collections with them. These were photographs of places that held personal memories. The group shared these memories and stories of the places with each other, and reached to the past to understand the present.
The aim of the workshop was to gain understanding of cultural sustainability through working with memories, stories and photographs. Cultural sustainability means here cultural values, heritage, and memories that the group wants to foster and pass on to others. Environmental issues are also an important part of sustainability - how our living environments will change and have changed by human impact.
The exhibition Sincerely Mine is a part of a project called Cultural Sustainability and Photography Workshop. The workshop was organized in collaboration between University of Lapland, Iceland Academy of Arts and Cirrus – Nordic and Baltic Network of Art and Design Education. The workshop took place in Reykjavik, Iceland and Rovaniemi, Finland in March–May 2012.
